Frozen Bubbles

Freezing bubbles is a simple science activity that can be completed at home with super cool results!

To make your bubble solution, you’ll need:

  • 1 tablespoon of dish soap
  • 1 tablespoon of corn syrup
  • 9 tablespoons of water

Bundle up with layers to perform this activity outside when it’s cold (below freezing temperatures at night will be best for this experiment). With your bubble solution and a small straw as your wand, make some bubbles! You’ll see small ice crystals form on the bubbles as they freeze on the wand! Small bubbles that stay attached to the wand will yield the best results.
