Mind Body Soul Summer: Animal Nature Art

Combining the beauties of nature and a creative imagination can produce amazing art! This activity involves spending some time collecting items from the outdoors. *While leaves and flower petals can add bold colors,  we encourage you to find items already separated from it’s life source.  

Materials:  

Here are some suggestions:  Leaves, sticks, pine cones, petals, etc. 

Paper and glue

Instructions:

Use your nature collection to design pictures of animals, people or landscapes. We suggest planning the entire picture before gluing to the paper.  

Take it a little further:

Use your imagination and create a new species of creature! Maybe a Crocodile-Bird or a Flamingo-Kitten!  What would it look like? Use the items you collected to bring your picture to life!
