April’s Artist of the Month is Claude Monet, a French artist who loved to paint the world around him. Monet was very observant. He paid close attention to small details many people might miss, like how light sparkles on water or how colors change when clouds pass overhead. He painted nature scenes again and again, noticing how the light and reflections changed each day. By watching the world so carefully, Monet showed others how beautiful everyday moments can be. We’ll make art inspired by the great Monet all month in both MakerSpace and Tuesday Studio.
