Volunteer Opportunities

Though our staff is mighty, we have a small team and could always use a little help! We are grateful to have a great group of youth, adult, family and corporate volunteers who help us achieve so much each year and we are always looking for more!

Museum Mentor Program

Summers Only.  Students Grade 7-9

Experience the fun of meeting new friends your own age, learning new skills and helping others in a fun-filled environment! Museum Mentors help Museum staff by doing hands-on science activities in the Lab, creative arts & crafts projects or volunteering at special family events. Complete orientation and training is provided.

High School and College Groups

Hours are flexible and can be scheduled to suit students' needs within the frameworks of Museum operating hours. Leading arts & crafts activities, assisting educators with classes, data entry, program research, helping with repair and maintenance, assisting at special events are just some of the activities you can be help out with.

The Green Team

Green Team volunteers assist staff in maintaining and developing the gardens of the Museum's Outdoor Learning Center, The Wild Place. Green Team volunteers must be ready and willing to water, weed, dig, plant and do general gardening chores.

Corporate Volunteers

Volunteering is a great team builder  We'd love to have you and your team out to help us keep the Museum in tip-top shape while also allowing your employees to spend a fun day together.
