Artist of the Month – Alma Thomas
June 2 @ 9:30 am - 3:00 pm
Our June artist of the month is Alma Woodsey Thomas. She was a Black American artist who is famous for her bright, colorful paintings filled with patterns — of circles, stripes, and dashes. Alma taught art to children for 35 years before becoming a painter when she was 68 years old! She never gave up on her dream of making beautiful art. Look for projects inspired by her throughout the month.
All our programs and activities (while supplies last) are free with admission or a CME membership. Any exceptions will be clearly marked. We will do our best to update you on any changes.
