August Adventures, modeled after Highland Street’s long-standing Free Fun Fridays program, provides
enriching opportunities for individuals, children, and families across the Commonwealth. From children’s
museums, to art, to history, there is something for everyone. Founded in 1989, the Highland Street Foundation is committed to addressing the most pressing needs and concerns for children and families in Massachusetts. Highland Street Foundation provides access and opportunities in education, housing, mentorship, health care, environment, and the arts.
Highland Street Foundation’s calendar of free activities, shown below, takes place during the month of August. Each day, there will be one museum, zoo, nature sanctuary, or historical site open for free.
CME is once again participating in August Adventures! CME will be open, with free admission, from 9 am to 4 pm on Monday, August 14th! CME has a capacity limitation and although we will NOT require advance registration, admission will be distributed on a first come, first-served basis with restricted time for play so we can allow as many visitors as possible that day to explore and play! Please plan accordingly as you might have to wait in line with your young visitor.
CME’S EXHIBITS ARE DESIGNED FOR AGES 1 TO 7. WE FIND AGES 2 TO 6 WORK BEST.
